About CarolAn Albertan from day 1 - I was raised in a small central Albertan town where my family owned an agricultural based business started in the 1930s. Working alongside my grandparents, parents and siblings starting when I was just 12 years old provided me with an invaluable work ethic and a broad understanding of the economic and social impacts of being a small business owner. After attending Red Deer College (Bachelor of Commerce), I moved to Calgary taking on an entry level position with Texaco Canada Resources in the Purchasing Department. Just over a year later I was transferred to their newly expanding field and new warehousing facility in Cynthia, Alberta. Managing this facility and dealing with every aspect of the Oil and Gas industry from drilling and completions to gas plant operations set the tone for my career in Drayton Valley. I settled in the Drayton Valley area, married and had a family and continue to do life here. I've invested in my community by volunteering in many aspects over the years, including helping out with the hot lunch program at the school, being a volunteer soccer coach, to helping the Drayton Valley Air Cadets. I am currently an active Director on the Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation. Having worked for oil & gas producers and industry servicing companies along with being a successful small business owner, I have proven my strengths needed in building and developing companies and communities. I'm knowledgable, efficient, resilient and a fantastic communicator. Why me?
